Rochester's home of ingenuity and zymology (RHIZ)

RHIZ is a conceptual adaptive reuse project for the 1899 construction, Hickey-Freeman Co. in Rochester, NY. My design features 3 floors: a zymology-centric cafe, a contemporary art gallery, and artist's loft housing. The mission was to preserve the historic integrity of the space in conjunction to providing a contemporary, creative atmosphere.
